Following 5 ½ months on the sidelines due to a long standing injury, Altin Lala returned to training this Tuesday for the first time this season.

5 ½ months waiting just to kick a ball

Being on the training pitch with the rest of the team is an everyday occurance for most professional footballers, but for Altin Lala, Tuesdays training session was something a bit more special.

After spending the last 5 ½ months in rehabilitation, due to a important knee operation, the Albanian international has finally returned to training with his teammates. The best case scenario for the midfielder is to take it day by day with the aim to return to the starting line-up sometime in October. In the meantime, Lala, whose role as a team leader has been just as important, will look to use the international break to his advantage. During those two weeks, when the league is no longer the focus, the Reds have organised two friendly matches, which will present Altin with the possibility of getting some match time under his belt.

On 6th October Hannover are scheduled to play Hessen Kassel from the lower divisions of German football, followed by a match against SC Hemmingen-Westerfeld two days later.
