The Reds continue to be active in the transfer market, completing their third signing of the summer transfer window so far. The latest addition to Mirko Slomka’s club is Artur Sobiech who has signed a 3-year contract with the Europa League outfit.
L9 goals in 23 matches
The 21-year old centre forward joins Hannover 96 from Polonia Warsaw in the Polish Ekstraklasa having made 23 appearances, scoring 9 times last season for the 7th placed side. Additionally, Sobiech is a current Poland U-21 international and has made 3 appearances for the full national side in his promising international career. The Polish centre forward will wear the number 9 shirt for the Reds and will join up with his new team upon the return from their training camps in Celle, Lower Saxony.
96-manager was pleased with his latest acquisition: “In Artur Sobiech, we’ve signed an attacking player who understands how to utilise his robust and powerful qualities and can provide us with more options up front. I see him as a player with a lot of potential.”

Hannover 96 was established on 12th April 1896. In its long history, rich in tradition, the greatest successes have always come when the special bond between club and city, and between the club and its fans, was at its strongest. Because of that we have the club motto “NIEMALS ALLEIN” [‘Never Alone’]. The most glorious moments in the club’s history include winning the German championship in 1938 and 1954, as well as the Cup success of 1992. In their early days, 96 established themselves firmly in the Bundesliga. The stand out memories for the fans in recent years include the two seasons in the Europa league in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2015/16 Hannover will compete in the Bundesliga for the 14th consecutive season.

Hannover 96 a été fondé le 12 avril 1896. Sa riche histoire a été marquée de succès inoubliables rendus possibles par l’union sacrée entre le club et la ville ainsi qu’entre l’équipe et les supporters.
