In January, when the German winter break is underway, Hannover 96 will travel to Portugal to a training camp in the Algarve, in preparation for the second half of the season.

 

Breaking sweat in the Algarve

Hannover 96 confirmed this week that the first team will travel to Portugal for a ten-day training camp between the 4th and the 15th January. The Reds will be staying at the ROBINSON Club “Quinta da Ria” in Vila Nova de Cacela. The first game after the winter break for Mirko Slomka’s side will be an away day at 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday, January 21st.

Friendlies against Köln and Heerenveen

Included in the training camp are two friendly matches for the Reds. One is against fellow Bundesliga side 1. FC Köln, to be played on Sunday, January 8th, with the second against Dutch Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen on Saturday 14th. Indeed the tem has a busy schedule in the month of January. Before returning to Bundesliga action against Hoffenheim on the 21st, they will have a third friendly against 2. Bundesliga side SC Paderborn 07 on Tuesday 17th.
