NIEMALSALLEIN

Leon Andreasen has extended his contract with Hannover 96 until 2014. His deal was due to run out in the summer but the Dane signed his one-year extension today.

Comeback after long injury spell

Leon Andreasen has been a Red since 2009 and the Danish midfielder is currently undergoing rehabilitation work after suffering a cruciate ligament tear in his right knee during the home game against 1. FC Nürnberg in September 2012. Before the injury, Andreasen had been in fantastic form having scored five goals in all competitions.

“A good feeling”

“We believe that after his rehabilitation, Leon will find the form he had last summer. His strength in the tackle, great engine and danger in front of goal have been a real asset to the team,” explained Jörg Schmadtke, sporting director of Hannover 96.

“The club has put a great deal of trust in me and that’s a good feeling. My family and I feel really happy here in Hannover and that made the decision really easy. I am convinced that together, we can be successful,” said Leon Andreasen.
