Hannover 96 have signed Czech Republic international Frantisek Rajtoral from Viktoria Plzen shortly before the end of the January transfer window. 96 reached an agreement with the Czech first-division club to bring the defender in on loan until June 30th 2014 and have an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
International experience
Rajtoral completed his medical in Hannover on Thursday morning and trained with the team straightaway. The 27-year-old right back (born on March 12th 1986) will wear the number 22 jersey at Hannover 96. During his time at Plzen, Rajtoral has played in both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.

Hannover 96 was established on 12th April 1896. In its long history, rich in tradition, the greatest successes have always come when the special bond between club and city, and between the club and its fans, was at its strongest. Because of that we have the club motto “NIEMALS ALLEIN” [‘Never Alone’]. The most glorious moments in the club’s history include winning the German championship in 1938 and 1954, as well as the Cup success of 1992. In their early days, 96 established themselves firmly in the Bundesliga. The stand out memories for the fans in recent years include the two seasons in the Europa league in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2015/16 Hannover will compete in the Bundesliga for the 14th consecutive season.

Hannover 96 a été fondé le 12 avril 1896.
