Operation this coming Monday
96-defender Andre Hoffmann suffered a severe injury to his left knee this Friday morning.   The German under-21 player tore his anterior cruciate ligament and will need an operation. Dr. Ulrich Boenisch will be in charge of the operation this coming Monday in Augsburg.  Hoffmann will be absent for several months due to the operation and the following rehabilitation.

“His absence hurts us”
Manager Tayfun Korkut said: “This is obviously a bitter pill to swallow for Andre and the whole team. His absence hurts us. But Hoffi will fight hard to return after the operation. We will all do the best we can to ensure he comes back even stronger than before.”
