There was one positive after the disappointing cup exit to VfR Aalen this morning - 96 captain Lars Stindl made his long-awaited comeback to team training.

Stindl finally training with ball again

The Reds and their manager Tayfun Korkut turned their attention towards this Saturday after the 2-0 cup defeat to second-division side VfR Aalen, with 96 playing host to Eintracht Frankfurt in the HDI Arena. The headlines will be centred around one comeback in particular though: Lars Stindl took part in team training for the first time since his serious injury. Our number 10 took part in light exercises with other injured players in recent weeks after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. Captain Stindl is now finally back in team training with his teammates – a big influence and should give everyone hope for the coming weeks.
