Michael Frontzeck will stay on as head coach of Hannover 96. The club will also continue to work with sporting director Dirk Dufner.

“Frontzeck is full of enthusiasm and ambition”
Michael Frontzeck will remain Hannover 96’s manager for the new season. After a successful end to the campaign, which saw him secure the club’s top-flight safety in the final five games, Frontzeck has signed a contract until 30th June 2017. “Michael Frontzeck has produced results. That’s why we want to continue working with him,” explained 96-president Martin Kind. “He has set the team up well and really motivated them. He is full of enthusiasm and ambition.” Michael Frontzeck’s assistant coach will remain Jan-Moritz Lichte.

Squad planning for the new season can begin
Beyond that, the club will also continue to work with sporting director Dirk Dufner. The 47-year-old, who has a contract at Hannover 96 until 30th June 2016, will now begin squad planning for the 2015/16 Bundesliga campaign. “Putting a team in place now has the highest priority,” said Kind.
