Stuttgart, Madrid, Mainz, Schalke, Hoffenheim
Ádám Szalai (born 09.12.87 in Budapest), who moved to VfB Stuttgart as a youngster and helped them to the German Youth Championship in 2005, later moved to Mainz in 2010 via the second team of Real Madrid. Since then, the Hungarian has made 137 Bundesliga appearances for Mainz, Schalke and Hoffenheim, scoring 32 goals along the way. The Hungary international, who has 29 caps and eight goals, will wear the number 28 shirt for Hannover.

Objective: Survive relegation and the EUROs
Hannover’s sports director Martin Bader says, "Ádám has been at home in the Bundesliga for many years and has proved at all of his clubs that he is a goalscorer. We are very confident that he will be equally successful with us."

Ádám Szalai adds, "I am really looking forward to his new challenge. I really hope that I can make it into the squad for the EUROs with my good performances here. But even more important to me is to help ensure that Hannover are still in the division at the end of the season."

Ádám Szalai will train with the Hannover team for the first time on Monday morning, along with the other new signings. The training session is the first of the New Year before the team head off on 7th January to their training camp in Belek, Turkey to prepare for the second half of the season.
