Unfortunate 2-1 defeat in Gladbach
Hannover 96 showed a good performance against Champions League side Borussia Mönchengladbach on matchday 13, despite massive injury worries. In the end they just missed out on earning a draw, as the Foals recorded a 2-1 victory thanks to a late goal from Raffael. Ibrahima Traoré had given Gladbach a first-half lead, before Artur Sobiech levelled the scores shortly after the hour mark.
Three players introduced into starting XI
Hannover manager Michael Frontzeck was forced to make three changes with Kiyotake, Andreasen and Sakai ruled out and replaced by Gülselam, Sorg and Karaman. Prib was in action for Hannover's U23 side this weekend, gathering match practice on his way to a full recovery. Erdinc remained sidelined due to muscular problems.
