Hannover sign Norway U21 international Iver Fossum
Hannover 96 have confirmed the signing of Norway U21 international Iver Fossum from Norwegian first-division side Strömsgodset IF. The 19-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the club.
Twelve goals in 34 appearances
Iver Fossum scored twelve times and provided nine assists in 34 competitive outings for Strömsgodset, who finished the 2015 Tippeligaen season in second place. The attacking midfielder has represented Norway at youth level from U15s upwards. The Norwegian will now wear the number 18 shirt at Hannover 96.

96 delighted with new Norwegian signing
“Iver is an U21 international and has become a first-team regular despite his young age. He is one of the top performers at his club and we are delighted that we have been able to convince him to move to Hannover 96,” explained sporting director Martin Bader.
"I am looking forward to this new challenge"
Iver Fossum is looking forward to his latest endeavour: “The Bundesliga and Hannover 96 are both well known in Norway, and many fellow Norwegians have already been successful here. I follow German football and I am looking forward to this new challenge.”
Iver Fossum, like new Japanese signing Hotaru Yamaguchi, will train with the team for the first time on Monday, 4th January 2016. The training session will be the first of the new year ahead of the team’s training camp in Belek, Turkey (7th – 10th January) as they prepare for the second half of the season.
