NIEMALSALLEIN

The injury demon that haunted the Reds last season reared its' ugly head last weekend, but was unable to inflict any lasting damage: "Moa" is likely to be in contention for the match against St. Pauli, while Didi "only" sustained a slight strain to his medial ligament.

Ya Konan should return in Munich

It could have been a lot worse for Hannover, just like in past seasons, when their misfortune with injuries has become a big problem to deal with. However, we are talking about the 2010/11 season: 96 are in 3rd place in the league and Didier Ya Konan has only sustained a strained medial ligament, when in previous seasons it would have likely been a ligament tear. The good news for 96 fans is that, because the injury was not as bad as first feared, the star striker should be back in time to face FC Bayern München.

"Moa" should shine under the floodlights

For "Moa" the news is even better. Despite taking a knock to the head whilst scoring the first goal against the "Betze", the striker has been cleared to face St. Pauli in the Friday evening match. The Norwegian international has taken his first steps to recovery and is expected to jump back into the first team training routine tomorrow.

"Stoppel" returned to Hannover with a fever

Pinto and Rausch both returned to Hannover with minor injuries following the match against Kaiserslautern. Both received knocks that they have since recovered from. Moritz Stoppelkamp, on the other hand, did not sustain an injury during the match, but instead had to return to Hannover after contracting a fever. The midfielder had been complaining of discomfort during the game, but despite that managed to complete the 90 minutes. "Stoppel" will rest in order to regain full fitness ahead of Friday's match, where the Reds have their next opportunity to close the gap on the illustrious 40 point mark.
