Hannover's football fans have a real treat in store ahead of the restart of the Bundesliga season. On Wednesday the 21st January 2009 the Italian giants AC Milan will take on the Reds at the AWD Arena, kick-off 20.30.
Looking forward to Ronaldinho, Beckham and Kaká
"We were recently offered the chance to host this special friendly, and naturally we jumped at the chance", explained 96 president Martin Kind. "It"s a real highlight for the player and fans alike. AC Milan will be at full-strength, so superstars like David Beckham, Kaká and Ronaldinho may well be on show.
With 17 Serie A titles, five domestic cup wins, seven European Cups and four World Club Championships the Italian club is one of the most successful in the world.

Tickets for the Hannover 96-AC Milan game go on sale on Wednesday 14.01.09 at 10 am, and are available at all the usual outlets, by telephone (01805-189600) and in the Onlineshop.

Hannover 96 was established on 12th April 1896. In its long history, rich in tradition, the greatest successes have always come when the special bond between club and city, and between the club and its fans, was at its strongest. Because of that we have the club motto “NIEMALS ALLEIN” [‘Never Alone’]. The most glorious moments in the club’s history include winning the German championship in 1938 and 1954, as well as the Cup success of 1992. In their early days, 96 established themselves firmly in the Bundesliga. The stand out memories for the fans in recent years include the two seasons in the Europa league in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2015/16 Hannover will compete in the Bundesliga for the 14th consecutive season.

Hannover 96 a été fondé le 12 avril 1896.
