Hannover 96 have announced the signing of a new goalkeeper. Uwe Gospodarek, former keeper at third division Wacker Burghausen, will be Florian Fromlowitz’s deputy for the second half of the season.

Experienced keeper

The 36 year man from Straubing, who has previously had spells at Bayern München and Borussia Mönchengladbach, has signed a contract until the end of the season. “In Uwe Gospodarek we’ve found an experienced keeper, who can be the ideal deputy to Florian Fromlowitz,” said Hannover 96’s director of sport Jörg Schmadtke.

Following the tragic death of Robert Enke, Hannover 96 have been on the lookout for an experienced substitute keeper for the remainder of the season.
