Defender Emanuel Pogatetz has signed an extension on his current deal with Hannover 96. His new deal at the AWD-Arena takes him up to June 30th 2015.

 

Another key player tied down

In persuading Pogatetz to sign a new deal, the club have managed to tie down another key first team player on a long-term contract. Jan Schlaudraff, Christian Pander and Manuel Schmiedebach all signed contract extensions in recent weeks. "Emanuel is player whose qualities fit in perfectly with pur squad. He is a linchpin of this team", says Jörg Schmadtke, Hannover's sporting director.

"I feel great in Hannover"

Austrian international Emanuel Pogatetz transferred to Hannover 96 from English side Middlesbrough FC in the summer of 2010. In his 47 Bundesliga appearances so far he has scored 1 goal. He has also played every minute of Hannover nine European games this season. "It's a lot of fun playng in this team. I like being a part of the squad and want to do my bit so  that we can have  more success in the future", said Pogatetz. "Things are great for me here, both professionally and privately. I feel great in Hannover and see no reason to change that."
