Hannover 96 have terminated the contract of striker Moritz Stooppelkamp, paving the way for him to sign for 2. Bundesliga side TSV 1860 Munich. His deal at the AWD-Arena was due to run out in the summer of 2013.

 

Stoppelkamp, who arrived in Hannover in the summer of 2010 from Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, made a total of 44 Bundesliga appearances for the Reds, as well as plaiyng five times in the UEFA Europa League. "By releasing him from his contract early we have allowed him his wish of moving. We thank Moritz for his contribution to Hannover 96 and wish him well at his new club", said 96's Sporting Director Jörg Schmadtke.
