Mame Diouf will definitely leave Hannover 96 when his contract expires on June 30th 2014. 96-sporting director Dirk Dufner was informed of the decision by Diouf's agent.

71 games, 35 goals

“We now have the clarity which we have wanted for a long time,” said Dufner. “Even if Mame’s intentions were clear for us, we needed a decision now so that we can push forward with our plans for the coming season. The Senegal international striker has been under contract at Hannover 96 for two-and-a-half years following his transfer from Manchester United. Diouf scored a total of 35 goals in 71 competitive matches (Bundesliga – 57 games/26 goals, German Cup – 3 games/2 goals, UEFA Europa league – 11 games/7 goals). “We'll hold this exceptional striker in our memories as he was a top performer and a fan favourite at Hannover 96. Therefore we want to thank him for his passionate attitude for our club. We wish Mame all the best for his future journey in his private and sporting life. H
e will most certainly always have a connection to our town, not only because his young daughter was born in Hannover,” added Dufner.
