Salif Sané will return to team training with the Bundesliga side of Hannover 96 in the coming weeks after discussions between Sporting Director Dirk Dufner, head coach Tayfun Korkut and the Senegalese international.
"The club will pave the way back for Salif"
Salif Sané has trained and played with the reserve team in recent months due on disciplinary grounds. “The club will pave the way back for him. We expect a player to repay our faith in him,” Dirk Dufner explained. “Salif will return to team training with all his usual rights and responsibilities and has to prove himself,” said Tayfun Korkut. Sané will be in the second string’s squad one final time in their away game to ETSV Weiche Flensburg this Sunday.

In its long history, rich in tradition, the greatest successes have always come when the special bond between club and city, and between the club and its fans, was at its strongest. Because of that we have the club motto “NIEMALS ALLEIN” [‘Never Alone’]. The most glorious moments in the club’s history include winning the German championship in 1938 and 1954, as well as the Cup success of 1992. In their early days, 96 established themselves firmly in the Bundesliga. The stand out memories for the fans in recent years include the two seasons in the Europa league in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2015/16 Hannover will compete in the Bundesliga for the 14th consecutive season.
