Hannover 96: Felipe training as of now with U23s

Hannover manager Korkut names the defender’s attitude to training as the reason behind his decision: “It’s about his work ethic in training every day, which I’ve not been pleased with for the past few weeks.” At the beginning of last week, the manager had a personal conversation with the 27-year-old about the matter; however, he hasn’t seen a change in the “right direction” in Felipe in training. Ahead of the home match against SC Paderborn on Saturday, the decision that Felipe would train with the Hannover 96 U23 team from today until further notice had been made. However, the defender isn’t eligible to play in the Regionalliga Nord due to being a non-EU citizen. The door isn’t closed on a return to the first team for Felipe though with Korkut stressing: “He now has the opportunity to prove what he’s capable of in the U23 training.”
