Robert Enke back in training - Fromlowitz geared up
"It was a great feeling," 96-captain and Germany keeper Robert Enke said after training again for the first time since three weeks. When he'll return to action though remains unclear at this stage. He will take antibiotics until the end of the week, but the first step towards a comeback has been taken.

Until Enke reaches full form, the Reds are totally comfortable relying on Florian Fromlowitz, who has done an excellent job of replacing Enke. Although he had a sore neck on Tuesday and quit training early, he'll be fit to face Freiburg on Saturday.

Sergio Pinto on the move - injured players return
Versatile Sergio Pinto has returned from injury and is now another alternative for the Freiburg encounter. A knee injury, which was sustained during pre-season against Arsenal, forced him to the sidelines for a while, but now the 28-year-old may even be a candidate for Saturday.

Other players who were nursing a bruise or an injury lately are also back: Playmaker Arnold Bruggink (thigh problems) and Christian Schulz (back injury) made a good impression and should be available. Konstantin Rausch and Sofian Chahed, both ill due to the flu lately, are set to join training on Thursday.

Still plenty of unavailable players
It's not all good news though, as there are still a bunch of players spending the majority of the time at the doctors and not on the training pitch: Mike Hanke (tonsil surgery) and Mario Eggimann (back problems) will need a bit more time, but at least they were able to put in a quick jogging session with Jan Schlaudraff, a long term absentee. Coach Andi Bergmann also has to do without Leon Andreasen (groin problems), Vinicius (slipped disc), Altin Lala (back problems) and Mikael Forssell (torn muscle).
