Good news for Hannover! Home grown star Konstantin Rausch has extended his contract with the reds until 2013.

A red until 2013

The club made the announcement on Monday, having already extended the contracts of Christian Schulz and Jan Rosenthal in recent weeks.

“We are happy that our local lad ‘Kocka’ has decided to stay on here,” emphasised Hannover’s Director of Sport Jörg Schmadtke. The left back has already “displayed his potential in numerous Bundesliga games.” The 19 year old, who previously played in the Hannover 96 youth side, has already made 15 appearances this season. He celebrated his professional debut with Hannover on 30th March 2008 against VfB Stuttgart. “Kocka can and will develop further here at Hannover,” predicted Schmadtke.

“I have a lot to thank Hannover 96 for, I feel happy here and now I want to repay the club,” explained ‘Kocka’. “That is why I haven’t accepted any other offers.” He now looks forward to “the coming years in his home town.”
