Hannover 96 must travel to the Ukraine to play Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League on Thursday without striker Didier Ya Konan. The Ivorian pulled out of training early on Tuesday afternoon, after complaining of pain in his left adductor.

"After consuting with the team doctors, as well as Didi and his agent, we have decided that he will not travel to the Ukraine for the game on Thursday. We want to avoid running the risk that his condition will be further harmed for the club's games in the future. It's a bitter blow for the team, and for Didi himself, as he's a very important player for this club", said manager Mirko Slomka.
Hannover 96 play FC Vorskla Poltava on Thursday evening inthe Europ League. Kick-off is at 9.05 pm.

Hannover 96 was established on 12th April 1896. In its long history, rich in tradition, the greatest successes have always come when the special bond between club and city, and between the club and its fans, was at its strongest. Because of that we have the club motto “NIEMALS ALLEIN” [‘Never Alone’]. The most glorious moments in the club’s history include winning the German championship in 1938 and 1954, as well as the Cup success of 1992. In their early days, 96 established themselves firmly in the Bundesliga. The stand out memories for the fans in recent years include the two seasons in the Europa league in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2015/16 Hannover will compete in the Bundesliga for the 14th consecutive season.
