Hannover 96 midfielder Jan Rosenthal has left the Reds. The 24-year old will play for SC Freiburg next year.

After ten years playing for Hannover 96, Jan Rosenthal has decided its time for a change and linked up with fellow Bundesliga side SC Freiburg. The 24-year old still has to undergo the obligatory medical before he will be announced as a new signing at Freiburg.

Rosenthal joined Hannover’s youth team department and signed his first professional contract in 2005. One year after his Bundesliga debut in 2006, “Rosi” emerged as a regular at Hannover 96. In total, Rosenthal appeared in 80 Bundesliga games for Hannover and scored eleven goals.

Unfortunately, he was thrown back by injuries on a number of occasions. But despite suffering numerous muscular injuries, Rosenthal never gave up and frequently managed to show solid performances when fit.

We would like to wish “Rosi” all the best at his new club.
