Hannover 96 striker Jan Schlaudraff turned 27 on Sunday. We would like to use the opportunity to wish him all the best.

Gladbach, Aachen, Bayern and now Hannover

"Schlauffi" joined Hannover in 2008 from Bayern Munich. So far, the 27-year old has appeared in 32 Bundesliga games for the Reds and has scored seven goals. He started his professional career in 2003 with Borussia Mönchengladbach, before linking up with Alemannia Aachen in 2005 and eventually the Bundesliga record champions FC Bayern in 2007. In his second year with the Bavarians, Schlaudraff won the domestic double and then opted to start a new challenge with Hannover 96.

Injury prone appears to be history

Schlaudraff has lately often been thrown back by injuries. Since August 2009, the striker has regularly had to deal with physical set backs. Knee problems as well as groin injuries consistently denied Schlaudraff to play on a regular basis. But he is back now. In the past few test matches he showed off his qualities by scoring a number of goals and thus promoting his name to Mirko Slomka for a starting line up place.

We would like to congratulate Jan Schlaudraff to his Birthday and wish him all the best for the 2010/11 Bundesliga season.
