Hannover 96 have been boosted by the news that Manuel Schmiedebach and Christian Pander have signed new deals to extend their careers at the AWD-Arena. Schmiedebach’s new contract now runs until June 30th 2016, while Pander signed a three-year extension until summer of 2015.

Schmadtke: "Good conversations with players and agents"

"It was always clear that we wanted to keep Manuel Schmiedebach and Christian Pander at the club”, explained Jörg Schmadtke, the Reds’ Director of Football. “We’ve had good and healthy conversations with the players and their agents in last few weeks and they’ve reached a satisfying concussion. That both players have signed long-term deals with the club is a good sign for Hannover 96.”

“96 have made a great effort to make me feel welcome in the last few months. In the end it was an easy decision to make”, said midfielder Schmiedebach.

Christian Pander was also pleased to have agreed a new deal with the Reds. “I’ve felt very good here from my very first day. I’m fit and healthy right now and playing regularly and I think this team can achieve a lot. We’re all very pleased with the agreement.”
