NIEMALSALLEIN

Hannover 96 have agreed to allow Daniel Royer to move on a season-long loan deal to 1. FC Köln, recently relegated to the 2. Bundesliga.

Austrian international Royer was signed at the beginning of the season from SV Ried, but has had difficulty establishing himself in the first team at Hannover this season and managed a total of three league appearances. He would have played in the Reds' Europa League campaign but was cup-tied after appearing in a qualifier for his previous club Ried.

Schmadtke: "Development will be monitored"

"This deal makes sense for all parties at this moment in time. We will of course be monitoring Daniel's development in Köln and we wish him well for the coming season", said Jörg Schmadkte, 96' Sporting Director.
