NIEMALSALLEIN

Hannover 96 have signed Austria international goalkeeper Robert Almer on a deal until 30th June 2015. The keeper was recently under contract at Energie Cottbus and will join up with the team at the training camp in Radkersburg/Steiermark on Sunday evening.

15 caps for Austria
30-year-old Almer (born 20th March 1984 in Bruck/Mur, Austria) is 1.94m tall and has had spells at Fortuna Düsseldorf, Austria Vienna and SV Mattersburg. He has made 15 international appearances for Austria to date.

Reaction to the goalkeeper situation
“We have reacted to our current goalkeeping situation and we’re delighted to have an experienced goalkeeper join our team. Robert Almer will be able to train with the team at the camp in Bad Radkersburg on Monday. That will help us a lot here as our number 1, Ron-Robert Zieler, won’t join training until a week’s time in Hannover following his post-World Cup holiday,” explained 96-sporting director Dirk Dufner.
