NIEMALSALLEIN

Bad luck continues to follow Chavdar Yankov wherever he goes. After a collision at the Bad Pyrmont training camp he stayed down, clearly in some pain. Iniatially it was hoped it was just some bad brusing, but further inspection revealed he had a broken rib.

Set-back

Having just recovered from last season's knee operation, Chavdar Yankov was beginning to get back to full fitness. Manager Dieter Hecking bemoaned the new set-back, "Obviously it's a real blow for him. He will definitely be out for at least three weeks, and he won't be able to run for at least a week."

A New Face
Apart from Chavdar Yankov, Arnold Bruggink and Mario Eggimann both picked up slight knocks in training on Monday, although neither was serious. There was a new face there as well. Christian Müller, who is the youth co-ordinator at 1. FC Magdeburg, is currently studying for his coaching badges and will be present at 96 training sessions in the coming season.
