NIEMALSALLEIN

Three substitutions and a total of five injuries were enough to cloud the 2-2 draw with HSV at the weekend. "Kocka" Rausch came off worst: The Under-20 international had hobble off the pitch following a clash with Hamburg's Elia.

Injured quintet
Following the physical game against Hamburg SV, Hannover coach Andreas Bergmann now has to deal to five injured players. In the first half striker Didier Ya Konan was substituted due to a strained stomach muscle. During the action, left back "Kocka" Rausch had his Calf stepped on by Elia - diagnosis: bruised calf. Soon after substitute Sofian Chahed also had to leave the field. Just moments after having come on the Tunisia international sustained a knock to his knee.

Hanke hopes for Schlake
The injury list continued to grow with Jan Rosenthal and penalty ace Jiri Stajner becoming the latest casualties on Monday. "Rosi," like Didier Ya Koanan, is complaining of stomach muscle problems. "Stajni" sustained a painful bruised knee during the game. There was, however, some good news: Mike Hanke hopes to return for the game against his ex-club Schlake 04. "I hope I'm fit by then. I still have two weeks and I'm optimistic," said Hanke. Another option upfront would of course be very welcome during this difficult period for Hannover.

We wish the injured players a speedy recovery during the break for internationals!
