Clubs retain video material
Ahead of the new Bundesliga season, all 18 of the clubs in the top flight have hosted a media day. The DFL and their media partners can call on an abundant source of photos and videos for marketing purposes. The clubs will also have free access to the content, allowing everyone involved to profit from the media day.
“There’s a real added value to this for us because the club’s representation is significantly increased,” clarified Alex Jacob, head of communications at Hannover 96. “A compact event for the team and the staff relieves our calendar during a busy preseason period. And we get professionally produced content in the shortest amount of time. We will benefit from the amount of material for the whole season.”

Second time in Hanover
The team went through a course of five stations in small groups, during which time pictures and videos were taken. Dribbling, keeping the ball in the air and shots on goal were all filmed on the pitch of the HDI Arena, before the players had their portrait photos taken and recited their names in the depths of the stadium. It was a busy day for the Reds! This was the second time Hannover 96 hosted photographers, camera crews and makeup artists for a media day. In 2011, the DFL chose Hannover 96 as a partner to pilot the project. Due to the excellent results from that test run, there were three further media days with other Bundesliga teams before this year’s comprehensive coverage was arranged.
