NIEMALSALLEIN

Hannover 96 have completed the signing of Ceyhun Gülselam from top Turkish side Galatasaray on a free.

Contract until 2016
The defensive midfielder is 26 years old (born on 22nd December 1987 in Munich) and spent time during his youth career at both FC Bayern Munich and SpVgg Unterhaching. Gülselam, who is 1.92m tall, has signed a contract until 30th June 2016 and will wear the number 6 shirt.

Gülselam will head to training camp
“With Ceyhun Gülselam, we have signed a player for defensive midfield who brings the experience of over 100 top-flight appearances in Turkey with him. On top of that, he has also played for the Turkey national team, as well as in the Champions League for Galatasaray,” explained 96-sporting director Dirk Dufner. “It’s great that we could conclude the transfer before the training camp in Bad Radkersburg begins on Sunday, so that he can head there with us.”

Champions League experience
Gülselam moved to Trabzonspor from Unterhaching in the summer of 2008 before signing a contract with Galatasaray in 2011. He was loaned to top-flight side Kayserispor in the 2012/13 season and returned to Galatasaray before the 2013/14 season. He made 31 appearances last season under Roberto Mancini in the Turkish championship, cup and UEFA Champions League.

“I’m sure that we can integrate Ceyhun Gülselam into the team. He definitely fulfills our requirements which we pose of a central defensive midfielder”, said 96-head coach Tayfun Korkut.

Dream come true

I’m very much looking forward to the Bundesliga and Hannover 96. It was always my dream to play in the Bundesliga”, said Gülselam.
