96 star Salif Sané has been called up to the Senegal squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sané to link up with Senegal
The "Lions of Teranga" finished second in Group G and qualified for the tournament behind winners Tunisia. Sané appeared in two qualifiers. The 1.96m defender will take part in the tournament, which runs from 17th January until 8th February 2015 in Equatorial Guinea. Consequently, he will miss the winter training camp and the start of the second half of the season.

Hannover 96 was established on 12th April 1896. In its long history, rich in tradition, the greatest successes have always come when the special bond between club and city, and between the club and its fans, was at its strongest. Because of that we have the club motto “NIEMALS ALLEIN” [‘Never Alone’]. The most glorious moments in the club’s history include winning the German championship in 1938 and 1954, as well as the Cup success of 1992. In their early days, 96 established themselves firmly in the Bundesliga. The stand out memories for the fans in recent years include the two seasons in the Europa league in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2015/16 Hannover will compete in the Bundesliga for the 14th consecutive season.
