Jan Schlaudraff will be joining Hannover 96 at the end of the season from FC Bayern Munich, with the 24 year old striker signing a contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2012. Further details of the contract have not been released.

“Perfect addition”

96 sporting director Christian Hochstätter was delighted with the capture, “We’ve been looking to strengthen the attack and in Jan we’ve found the perfect addition to the team.” Manager Dieter Hecking, who has already worked with Schlaudraff at Alemannia Aachen, was also very pleased, “Obviously I know Jan very well and I’m convinced he will improve the team with his playing style.”

Schlaudraff optimistic

After signing, Jan Schlaudraff said he felt optimistic about the future, “I am convinced that Hannover 96 have a good outlook for the next few years and I hope that I can further develop personally under Dieter Hecking.”

Three international caps

Jan Schlaudraff has accumulated 88 appearances in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga, scoring 19 goals. He joined Bayern Munich from Alemannia Aachen in the summer of 2007, and has been capped three times for Germany.
