The DFB has banned our Brazilian player for two friendlies after his red card in Barsinghausen. Felipe will miss the two matches against Ramlingen and Arminia Bielefeld.
Sending off due to foul play
Felipe found himself in a tricky situation in the 71st minute of 96's last friendly against Germania Egestorf/Langreder. Felipe met his opponent a moment too late, leaving the referee with no other option but to send the player off. In the match report, the referee referred to Felipe’s challenge as “foul play”.
Return for FSV Frankfurt match
The DFB handed Felipe a two match ban today, meaning he will miss the match at SV Ramlingen-Ehlershausen (Wednesday 16th July, 16:00 CEST) and at Arminia Bielefeld (Saturday 19th July, 19:00 CEST). Felipe will be back in the squad for the friendly against FSV Frankfurt next Tuesday.

Hannover 96 was established on 12th April 1896. In its long history, rich in tradition, the greatest successes have always come when the special bond between club and city, and between the club and its fans, was at its strongest. Because of that we have the club motto “NIEMALS ALLEIN” [‘Never Alone’]. The most glorious moments in the club’s history include winning the German championship in 1938 and 1954, as well as the Cup success of 1992. In their early days, 96 established themselves firmly in the Bundesliga. The stand out memories for the fans in recent years include the two seasons in the Europa league in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2015/16 Hannover will compete in the Bundesliga for the 14th consecutive season.
