96-midfielder Leon Andreasen has signed a new one-year contract at Hannover with the option for a further year.

 

New one-year contract plus option to extend

Leon Andreasen will remain at Hannover 96. The Denmark international signed a new one-year contract this morning and has the option to extend by a further year. Andreasen has worn Hannover 96 colours since January 2009, making him one of the club’s longest-serving players. The 31-year-old midfielder made 31 appearances this season (3 goals).

“Important stabiliser in defensive midfield”

“We’re delighted that Leon will continue to be a mainstay in our team. He brings passion and 100 percent commitment to the pitch and has been an important stabiliser for in defensive midfield for us in many games,” said 96-sporting director Dirk Dufner.

“It wasn’t difficult to opt to stay at Hannover 96. My family and I feel very much at home in the city and I fully identify myself with the club and hope that we will continue to enjoy success together,” explained Andreasen.
