Hannover 96: 600 reds celebrate Christmas

Hannover trainer Andreas Bergmann, 'Stajni', 'Brugg', 'Rosi' and co. were all there! They met with around 600 fans to sign autographs and have pictures taken in the VIP rooms of the AWD arena on Wednesday.

600 fans celebrate with the first-team

Life is good when you've got a cold beer and a warm Currywurst in your hand. Throw in a meeting with the first-team from Hannover 96 and things become even better. This was the privilege offered to around 600 fans in the VIP rooms of the AWD arena. The first team and other members of the club signed numerous autographs, allowing the fans to see a different side to their heroes.

GA 96 Red Onions are the champions

Four groups were responsible for organising the evening. The 'Fanprojekt', the 'Rote Kurve', the 'Fanliga' and the fan group 'Brigade Nord.' The fans also enjoyed a tombola and a special Hannover quiz. But the highlight for all the amateur footballers involved in Hannover's 'Fanliga' was the awards ceremony. This year Steven Cherundolo presented the GA 96 Red Onions with the challenge cup, a competition the 'Onions' had also won in 2004 and 2007. The players from the second and third placed sides South Connection and Hannover 07 also received small cups for their performances.
